As a little girl butterflies have always fascinated me. I would find myself chasing them around unfortunately I was never lucky to capture one. That frustrated me a lot. However my first instinct whenever I saw a caterpillar was to kill it and run away as fast as I could; I was very scared of it. It was not until I came to the realization that without a caterpillar there would be no butterfly, you can just imagine the shock on my face. A butterfly goes through a complete metamorphosis; Egg to Larva this is where the caterpillar comes into the picture, pupa where the caterpillar undergoes growth here it’s basically at rest and finally the butterfly comes to existence.

Molting is the process that allows the caterpillar to shed of its outgrown skin. Never had I pictured this whole process initially my thought was that after the egg hatches the butterfly would emerge. How mistaken I was. Looking at life sometimes thongs are not what you thought they should be. Many at times we want to use the short route to get to where we think we ought to be. Just like the butterfly we should get to a point where we teach ourselves to trust the process. Take a moment and imagine the pain the caterpillar goes through as its body is being disoriented to create new body parts for the butterfly. Considering it had a choice of not entering the cocoon yet it chooses to face its fears and do so.

Allow yourself go through the process just as the caterpillar chooses to enter the cocoon. It is however important to note that trusting the process is not going to be a walk in the park. You are going to have to push yourself out of your comfort zone and make some tough choices. Other times you will get hurt in the process but keep learn something new and never allow yourself stay in that skin you have outgrown. With every step just like that of a butterfly there are new transformations that you are going to go through but all this will be for your benefit. Without Larva and all the three process present there would be no butterfly because each stage plays an important role.

When the butterfly emerges it is so beautiful and captivating to look at yet we forget the process that led to its existence. With its new wings equals a great opportunity to cover a larger ground and explore. The butterfly was worth the wait despite everything.

Allow yourself go through the process and when it is done you will be grateful you saw yourself through it, besides a sweet victory is one that had a few huddles that you triumphed. Ooh one last thing enjoy that process.
