Summer is officially here with us. It’s that time of the year when we get to attend weddings, social gatherings, girl’s dates, and many other occasions. Bearing this in mind it’s time to dress up. The heat is up so definitely something simple that matches your sense of style will come in handy. Here are some of the things to consider when choosing outfits for this summer.

1. Choose light fabric outfits.

Put away your pull neck the sun is up. It is scorching hot; by all means, avoid heavy fabrics. Go for fabrics that are lightweight, breathable, and available. It should soak up sweat. Cotton is a good example and is affordable. The other alternatives include Linen, cambric, chiffon, and poplin.

2. Wear more dresses.

We are going for a more relaxed and comfortable look. Dresses are good when it comes to comfort. Think of the freedom that comes with dresses. Floral dresses paired with sandals will look stunning. They are dresses for every body shape and type. Find out which dress design suits you and rock it on one of the occasions.

3. Accessories less.

Accessories add a different feel to your outfit. The right earring and necklace will make your outfit rock. However, during summer you would want to tone the use of some accessories. The reason is some accessories are heavy and may end up being cumbersome. If you have accessories incorporate the following; hats (Bucket hats and caps, sunglasses, layered necklaces and bracelets, handbags, and bandanas.

4. Go for sleeveless outfits.

Summer is the hottest season. In other words, sweating rates are high. Sleeveless outfits are breathable and allow you to enjoy the moment without having to worry about sweating. Get sleeveless tops and dresses. You can pair them with Kimono and denim.

5. Shorts and shirts.

I hope I live to the time when shorts will be considered official wear. For now, a simple shirt and shorts will serve as a smart-casual summer outfit. Gents go ahead and pair it with sneakers and you are good to go. You can fold its arms and leave a few buttons at the top.

Printed shorts will work magic for the ladies. Wear them with closed shoes and add a sling bag.

6. Wear loose-fitting clothing.

Baggy and trendy are the words I am going for. Loose clothes provide breathing room hence they are a go-to in summer. The cautions here are to style and pair them correctly to achieve the look you are going for. Loose-fitting clothing includes shirts, T-shirts, and trousers. Breton is a good example for gentlemen. Palazzo pants are easy to style to fit both casual and smart casual for ladies. This type of outfit can be worn at weddings and when running errands like shopping.

7. Office outfit.

Even with the heat bills having to be paid that means you still have to get to the office. Don’t allow the heat to get in the way of your fashion. Comfort is a key wear outfit that will allow you to move around. Think in layers this means your clothes are adaptable. You can pair and unpair and you will still look nice. Choose light-colored blazers. Alternatively, put on a T-shirt and pair it with a blazer.

8. Shoe game.

I used to pay less attention to shoes till I discovered the wrong shoe will ruin my outfit. It’s the last thing you put on when you are stepping out of the house. Shoes make a statement so to say. Casual lace-up sneakers will allow you to run errands this summer. Loafers, old school sneakers, and slide sandals are a must-have for gents during summer. Flip flops, strappy and heeled sandals, flat shoes, and blocked heels will do.

In conclusion as the temperature of the sun raises so should your sense in fashion. Go fraternize without the fear of being under dressed. Let your outfit speak for you this summer.
